Shipston U15’s great start to the season continued with a 22-5 win away to Redditch on Sunday 8 November.
Shipston took an early lead with a great try from outside centre Marcus Creagh who ran in under the posts. Ed Turner converted to give Shipston a 7-0 lead.
Redditch were strong through the middle but Shipston soon began to control the breakdown and inside centre Freddie Symons went over for a second score to take the lead to 12-0.
Redditch regrouped and had a good period of pressure, which paid off when a driving maul was pushed over the line for a Redditch score. The conversion was missed and the half time score was 12-5.
Shipston domainated the second half with the majority of play in the Redditch half. Man of the Match Creagh went over again in the corner for a great try with the conversion from Turner just missing to take the score to 17-5.
The win was wrapped up when Symons stole the ball at a breakdown, made good ground and released Turner just outside the 22 for a run in at the corner, the conversion fell just short.
The final score against a very physical Redditch side was 22-5 to Shipston.
Another great team performance.
