Team 2 v Leamington, 11th Oct 2015
A super all-round performance showing strong progress in Coached areas.
Starting line-up of Mikey, Josh Bond, Sam Lane, Felix, Toby, Barney, Jack, Sam Deans & Charlie H hit the ground running and never stopped.
Great on-the-shoulder support and quick passing meant the ball did the work with 7, yes, SEVEN tries!
Rory came on for the industrious Toby at 9 at half-time, and George stepped in for the excellent Josh with seamless continuity.
Jack scored a trademark individual try; Chazza stepped in for another blitzing run.
‘Barney’s brace’ of tries were classic and Sam Deans dotted down thrice with the most enjoyable and perfectly executed dab from an inch-perfect Barney hoist into the corner.
Mikey and Sam Lane were given special focus for today; both took it on board and delivered. Well done!
Sam Lane’s focus and determination (and an irresistible drive and try-scoring feed) earned him Team Player of the Week.

Team 1 v Leamington, 11th Oct 2015
An excellent win showing us Coaches that our charges are listening!!
Ben, Joe, Sam Johnson, Charlie P, ‘Sniping Sam Littell’, Louis, Freddie, Archie & Josh started hot and kept going.
Leamington started strongly, taking time to break down but Shipston’s flow of steady ball fed the try scoring machine!
Louis’ individual effort from a re-start (but with useable support!!!) was superb. Archie gave solid support and Freddie’ determination and true pace blitzed the cover for 2 scores. ‘Sniping Sam’ slipped in for a lovely short-side touchdown and a ref-numbing score direct from our own re-start! (That’s why we say “get under the kick”)!
Charlie P’s exhilarating catch, run & feed led to Sam J’s textbook try. Charlie took a heavy knock but recovered to score a cracker later on.
Boggy! Read on! Joe loves the ball so much he doesn’t want to pass it! But thank goodness he didn’t just the once – a proper Forward’s try, bossing the maul and touching down. Excellent!
Ben was formidably solid and when Cameron Mahler came on he added a welcome sparkle. Our Team Player of the Week is the returning Josh Levett who came on to hook/play wing etc. and was superb in all!
