Following a loss last time out it was important that Shipston bounced back with a win this time out - and on cue the boys delivered a very nice performance.

With a number of players unavailable, we had boys playing out of position and only 17 travelled, but from the whistle our lads were up to speed. Two early scores, one converted from close to the touch line, saw us up 14 points in the opening 5 minutes.

With scores from Freddie Marshall (2), James Atkins (2), Harry Mack and Ed Perkins, with only one in return from Barkers, the win was largely secured by half time. In saying that, Barkers put a very spirited performance in the second half which required some disciplined defence which our boys delivered in spades.

The final score was 40-5.

Number of good performances today but the stand out performance came from Rowlesy - top draw defending, solid kicking, great distribution and a lovely show and go half way through the second period.
