Sunday 11th November Shipston U17 19 Leamington U17 17
Shipston were a little rusty after a three week break from league action but did just enough to cling on to clinch the two points. Centre Phil Wrycraft opened the scoring for the home side before the visitors levelled the scores 5-5. Scrum half Jack Endley burrowed over from a ruck on the Leamington line to regain the lead. Sam Nelson Brice converted for a 12-5 interval score.
Leamington got back to 12-10 just after the break. Shipston replacement no.8 Joe Wilcox made an impact when he came on and Harry Carr was once again Shipston's outstanding forward, closely followed by flanker Greg Brice. Wing Gavin Smith should have extended Shipston's lead but was bundled over the dead ball line when he was trying to ground the ball nearer the posts. He made up for his error a few minutes later when he finished off a move set up by young centre Jay Humphries. Shipston's indiscipline could have cost them the game as they were down to 13 men at one stage for two yellow cards. Leamington took advantage but only managed the one score in the last few minutes.
